S1 Top shell sub-assembly

Proposed work instruction for a line that doesn't exist yet. Times are targets.

Equipment: hot-air cold staker with six nozzles, a punch-travel monitor and a ring nest; mic gasket placement jig.

Steps

1. Seat the light-ring diffuser in the top shell (op:diffuser-place). Method: by hand onto six stake posts. Target 5 s.
2. Heat-stake the diffuser (op:diffuser-stake). Method: six-post hot-air cold-stake, timed. Target 9 s.
3. Fit the plus button (op:button-place). Method: by hand, flange under the skin. Target 4 s.
4. Place the two mic gaskets over the ports (op:gasket-place). Method: jig-located, liner peeled. Target 6 s.

Watch for

• Stake under-melted; diffuser loose (fm:stake-weak, RPN 80).
• Mic gasket off its port (fm:gasket-shift, RPN 72).
