SOP: Battery and haptic (sta:a3)

SYNTHETIC example. Rev C, 2026-10-14.

Operators: 1
Equipment: PSA liner peeler, battery press, 20 N

Steps

1. Stick battery into pocket with PSA (op:battery-adhere). Peel liner, place, press 20 N for 3 s. Target 10 s.
2. Place LRA and mate its connector (op:haptic-place). By hand into rib pocket. Target 8 s.
3. Mate battery connector (op:battery-mate). By hand, listen for click. Target 5 s.

Watch for

• Battery is live: plastic tools only.
• Press the cell for 3 s at 20 N; the press stops on its own.
• Mate the battery connector until it clicks, then tug at 2 N (from rev D, see iss:battery-unseat).

Risks at this station (PFMEA)

• Battery placed off-pocket: RPN 90 (fm:cell-misplace)
• LRA connector mated off by one pin: RPN 30 (fm:haptic-reversed)
• Battery connector half-seated: RPN 192 (fm:battery-unseat)
